July 2026 Garden and Life updates

July 6,2026

Happy Monday,

Good morning, my dear friends. I hope you all had a Happy, and safe 4th of July, celebrating America's 250th birthday.

This past week are sunflowers have started blooming. I planted Russian Mammoth Sunflowers , and there is one way taller than me. I have taken a few pictures to show the growth of this particular flower, I will post the pictures down below.

This weekend we also harvested our turnips. We didn't get as many as I had hoped for, but we got enough that I canned up about 6 pints.

We also harvested our sweet peas a few weeks ago, and I got them blanched and in the freezer. I need to package them still, and I will also post pictures down below of our turnips and our snap peas. The rest of the garden is doing really good. The carrots are halfway done, and in another week or so we will be harvesting the beats. In the area that we had the beats and the turnips my husband is going to plant us some cabbage.

This weekend , me and my mom went to a antique shop in rupert idaho called the rustic tarniantique shop in Rupert Idaho called rustic and tarnish, where I got some cute vintage 1960s dish set. I also got a cute little picture to hang in the bedroom.

My mom had also brought my early birthday present this weekend, I received a cute little pioneer woman cookie jar, which is full of cookies that I baked this weekend. I got some books which I'm really excited to read. They are books about the women of the Bible and then I got some books on Proverbs, and of course , my mom had to get me the cutest little rooster.

My sister got me two cats cute from marble and black onyx.

I will have pictures of everything down below.

I hope you guys have a wonderful week. God bless

Love Ann ❤️
